PARAMBIKULAM WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
   
 

Sprawled across 285 sq. km, the Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary, ensconced in a valley between the Anamalai ranges of Tamil Nadu and the Nelliampathy ranges of Kerala, is home to rare wild animals and rich fauna. One of the oldest and largest teak tree in the world, 'Kannimari', about 360 years old, stands in this sanctuary. Quite a few hill tribes also live here.
