Popular Muslim art forms in Kasaragod
North Kerala has a significant Muslim population compared to the rest of the state. Among the several art forms of the Muslims of Kerala Aravana or Duff Muttu, Kolkali and Oppana are the most popular. The Muslims have adopted several foreign and Kerala visual art forms and made them their own with suitable changes. Though many of them are purely Arabian in origin others are either original or partly original or partly foreign.
