Art helps to express the imagination in a non-grammatic way that is not tied to the formality of spoken or written language. Art provides a range of forms, symbols and ideas with meanings that are moldable. We have a set of jury members who have established themselves in this field of art.
Prof. V. Nagdas
Prof. V. Nagdas, an eminent printmaking artist and pedagogue, currently the Chairman of
Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi is an ardent promoter of good aesthetics and talents. He
obtained BFA from Trivandrum Fine Arts College and MFA from Santiniketan. He has
worked in various institutions including Garhi in Delhi and Bharat Bhavan in Bhopal
during his formative years. Prof. V. Nagdas taught at the Printmaking Department of
IKSV, Khairagarh University and later on headed the department. He completed thirty-
seven years of teaching career in 2022. He is based in Raipur and works between Raipur
and Delhi.
Dr. Jayaram Poduval
Jayaram Poduval obtained BVA and MVA in Art History from Fine Arts Faculty, Baroda
and became a professor in the same department. He has authored erudite art historical
essays in various peer reviewed journals. Besides, he is a well-known curator and art
adviser. Currently he lives and works in Baroda, Gujarat.
Mr. Narendra Raghunath
Narendra Raghunath is an IT Professional turned artist who takes a lot of interest in
contemporary conceptual art practices and design. A painter himself, he has been
teaching conceptual art and other new media practices in the Srushti School of Art in
Bangalore. He has exhibited widely in India and abroad. Currently he lives and works in
Bangalore.
Mr. Johny M L
A native of Vaikkom, Johny M L is a well-known writer, translator, art historian, art
critic, art curator, editor of art magazines, poet and blogger. He has three post-graduate
degrees in Art and has worked in many educational institutions as visiting faculty. He has
held solo and group exhibitions across the country and has been involved in various
projects related to art and its history. An avid literature fan, he has published over 2000
articles to this day and written 6 books on art and nature.
Mr. Shibu Chand
Presently working as an Artist in Medical Education Department, Govt. of Kerala, Shibu has
completed BFA Painting from Sanskrit University, Kerala and MFA in Painting from Mahatma
Gandhi University, Govt. of Kerala. He has experience as an Art Teacher /Lecturer in Painting in
different institutions such as Jawahar Balabhavan, Thiruvananthapuram, Govt. RLV College of
Music and Fine Arts Ernakulam, Sainik School, Kazhakoottam, Trivandrum International School
and St. Thomas B.Ed College and Higher Secondary School, Thiruvananthapuram. Received
Kerala Lalithakala Academy scholarship for the year 2002-2003 and has conducted solo and
group exhibitions and painting camps at multiple venues
