An Onam of ‘hope and resilience’

2021 Onam was the utmost expression of ‘hope and resilience’. We are a family of friends from Bengaluru, who were thrilled to celebrate the Onam festival with grandiose plans. With a roaring Aarpu-vili, our ‘Thiruvonam’ began with an early morning stroll through one of Asia’s biggest flower market right here in Bengaluru. Soon, all of us, including the Uber driver, made our way back home smelling like roses, marigolds and jasmine. In a few hours, the grand pookkalam was gleaming at us in the hallway. For a moment, it was just ‘us’. Happy faces in kasavu without masks, hugging and living the moment. Then came the ultimate expression of love, the grand ‘Sadhya’ with four different payasam. We had our tummy and hearts full! A very Happy Onam, from our family to yours!
