Athapookalam

"Athapookalam", as the name suggests it’s considered auspicious to prepare Pookalam during Onam (Atham). Malayalees of all religions, castes, and creeds celebrate Onam with joy and zeal throughout the state. This festival includes sadhya, songs, thiruvathira dance, energetic games, elephants, a boat race (Vallam Kali) and floral decorations (Athapookkalam).
