As you approach, the first sight that greets you is the majestic Niyamasabha Mandiram, the legislative assembly building. Its striking facade blends traditional Kerala architecture with contemporary design elements, symbolising the state's progressive ethos rooted in its rich cultural heritage.

Adjacent to the assembly building, the soaring dome of the Niyamasabha Hall beckons visitors with its graceful curves and intricate detailing. This hall serves as the venue for legislative sessions, echoing with debates, discussions, and decisions that shape Kerala's future.

The landscape around the complex is meticulously manicured, featuring lush gardens and pathways that invite leisurely strolls. It is in fact one of the biggest Assembly Halls in the nation.

The Sankaranarayanan Thampi Hall in the Kerala Legislative Assembly has state of the art facilities and was in fact the venue of the Loka Kerala Sabha. 

The previous Assembly which once bore witness to historic political events was situated within the State Secretariat complex. After a new complex was inaugurated on May 22, 1998, during the tenure of K. R. Narayanan, the old Assembly building was repurposed into a Legislature Museum.
