Kolavi Palam Beach in Payyoli

Kolavi Palam Beach at Payyoli adds to Kozhikode’s repertoire of hosting pristine and well maintained beaches. Considered a swimmer’s paradise, take one step in and you are greeted by stretches of golden sands, with shallow waters that border Velliyamkallu.  It is also important to note that it is here, during November - December annually, that endangered Olive Ridley turtles come in to lay eggs. There is a nature conservation centre here, ‘Theeram’, started by the fishermen to save these turtles.
