Pullumedu Hill in Idukki

Pullumedu is yet another hidden gem enhancing Idukki’s impressive repertoire, with hills draped in green greeting you on the ascend and the majestic Periyar River accompanying you the entire way. Apart from the natural view, one also gets glimpses of the Sree Ayyappa Temple at Sabarimala and the Makara Jyothi illuminations at the shrine. The area can only be reached via jeep and the drive alone preps you for a magical journey.

Disclaimer: Pullumedu can be accessed only by jeep. Since it is part of the restricted forest zone, special permission to visit has to be obtained from the Wildlife Preservation Officer, Thekkady or The Range Officer, Vallakkadavu.
