Deep-rooted huge trees and rich in biodiversity, Periyar Tiger Reserve is located in Idukki district. At this reserve forest visitors can see varieties of tree species like Vateria indica, Dipterocarpus indicus, Cullenia excelsa, Palaquium ellipticum, Artocarpus hirsute, Salmalia malabarica, Hopea parviflora and many more.
