Varayadumotta is a mountain ridge, as the name itself suggests, it is home to a small population of Nilgiri tahr, known as varayadu. To begin with, you need special permission from forest authorities to climb the mountain, which is 1100m high. To reach the base of the trek itself is a long walk through the jungle.
