Velvet-fronted Nuthatch in Nilambur forests

A resident breeder found in all types of forests, it is the Velvet-fronted Nuthatch (Sitta frontalis) from the Western Ghats region of Nilambur. This is small passerine bird commonly found in southern Asia.
