Near the destination, your guide may show you a small cave, which is believed to be used by the monsters, while they were busy building that dam across the river. A glimpse of the miraculous Old Bhoothathankettu is enough to remind you of the work of the poor monsters who were fooled by the rooster. Big boulders boldly challenge the mighty Periyar, which eddies around for a moment.
