FAQ

Is a Kerala Tour better than Tours to other Destinations?

Kerala does not warrant comparisons with other destination. Yet, it is a unique one in terms of geographic diversity. It is the only state in India where one could come across lush green midlands sandwiched by captivating beaches and lofty peaks. It is also a rare destination where a visitor can literally crisscross from a beach to a hill destination and back to the midlands in couple of hours.

Besides the natural splendours of Kerala, the state has a vibrant and rich cultural and artistic heritage, and is one of the progressive societies in India with a leading literacy rate in India. The people are well informed, and the media as well as the political fraternity are quite active. Kerala’s health indices are one of the best in the world, and its women are some of the most economically and socially empowered segments in the country.

The natural splendours of Kerala that include its famed beaches, backwaters, hill stations, national parks, etc. are equally matched by the cultural marvels of the state. Classical dance forms like Kutiyattam, Kathakali, Mohiniyattam, martial arts like Kalaripayattu, unique healthcare systems like Ayurveda and Sidha make Kerala a special destination for travellers. Its socio-religious setting is vibrant and colourful with festivals like Thrissur Pooram, Kochi Biennale, Malabar Festival and renowned centres of training like the Kerala Kalamandalam and a host of museums and palaces. And, last but not the least, is the diverse food variety. All these and more truly justifies its sobriquet – God’s Own Country.
