Here are some of the five best beaches in Kerala.

Kovalam
One of the most sought-after beach destinations, Kovalam gives the best of holiday experiences. Coconut palms lining the shore, the light house, stunning view of sunset, it`s a picture-perfect destination. Crescent shaped beaches; Lighthouse Beach, Eve’s Beach or Hawah Beach and the Samudra beach are the popular tourism spots in Kovalam. If your customer loves shopping, Kovalam is the best place. Drop in at the curio shops dotting the shore and take away beautiful souvenirs. The catamaran rides and snorkelling offer experiences no tourist can resist it in Kovalam’s pristine waters. The airport is less than half-an-hour’s drive from Kovalam. The tourists can recharge themselves with body massages and yoga, under trained practitioners. There is plenty to explore nearby; the Vettucadu church, the Vellar arts and crafts village and the Veli and Akkulam tourism villages a few kilometres away. Poovar and Azhimala are two nearby places that could just be the ideal spots to make the most of a holiday. This is a destination which allows one to explore coastal life. Muzhappilangad
Want to experience the fun of a beach and a splendid drive at the same time? Welcome to Muzhappilangad drive-in beach; the longest of its kind in Kerala. You can drive along the entire stretch for a distance of around 4 km. Shallow water and calm sea make this a lovable destination.

Varkala
Papanasam beach at Varkala is a pilgrim spot and popular beach destination. This is the only beach where cliffs are found adjacent to the Arabian sea. The place also offers opportunities for adventure tourism. The beach is famous for a natural spring.

Dharmadom
The water is shallow here, and during low tide and tourists can wade through the water. Nearby is the Muzhappilangad beach which makes it an even more attractive destination. At dusk, this place offers excellent photo opportunities.

Kappad
Located around 16 km from Kozhikode town, Kappad beach is one of the most ideal getaways for spending some quality time. A rocky land that stretches into the sea and the panoramic scene it commands are the highlights of this beach. You can also grab local delicacies and tea from nearby shacks. If you are in luck, you will be able to take pictures of migratory birds.
