Prepare to travel back in time in this 70-year old ancestral home, which is situated in the quaint little town of Thiruvilwamala in Kerala. With walls made of mud blocks, floor tiles from Chettinad, this is one of the few holiday homes in Kerala with antique furniture and fittings that’s over 100 years old. Unlike any other service apartments or short stay apartments in Thrissur, this heritage homestay has wooden ceilings and windows which add to the old-world charm. Scan through the many pictures that adorn the walls. Each picture captures the rich heritage and the memories of the many generations that lived here and made this house a home. Besides, during the stay if you wish to step outdoors, you could go on a guided village trek. Or, visit the nearby temples and ancient caves, amongst other historically prominent/tourist attractions. At Anamala Serenity, feast on delicious South Indian delicacies prepared by the Caretaker with farm fresh, locally grown ingredients.
