Overview

We are a German-Indian family happily living on our 12 acre organic farm in a semi-rural area of Kerala between the sea and the mountains. We grow coconuts, bananas, mangoes, vegetables and cultivate rice; a part of our compound is forest. We have cows, cats, hens and dogs. We run on solar and cook with bio-gas. Our delicious, mostly vegetarian, Kerala dishes are made of the good stuff from our farm. Our living house is an outhouse of the former landlord, and at 50 steps distance is our charming cottage for guests, where they have their privacy and still are near to the life of the place. We are around, and, as we have a farm with animals, barely leave, so we will see each other.

Activities

Guests can roam around and observe our daily life works, hang around in the kitchen, explore our compound, take walks through the village, the rice fields, the hills. Or make trips to the nearest town, see Kerala Kalamandalam, walk in the sunset on the banks of the Bharata Puzha river, visit a temple town or an elephant camp. And, according to season and availability, visit temple festivals, religious rituals or marriages, where you will always be welcome. It’s up to you.
