We chanced upon this cheerful Italian during the Kerala Travel Mart-2004 in Kochi. A tour operator by profession, Mr. Carlo Di Fiore works for a tour company called La Fabrica Dei Sogni and has fond memories of Kerala from his past visits.
"To me the whole of India is a fascinating place, and I would love to spend time here as much as possible", says Carlo. His fondness for India as a unique traveler’s destination takes a different dimension when he talks about Kerala.
His first visit to Kerala was in the year 1978, and since then for Mr. Carlo, Kerala has been a unique and special destination for his clients in Italy. He observes that there is an appreciable increase in the number of properties in Kerala, offering more comforts for the tourists, which would augur really well for Kerala Tourism in future.
Mr. Carlo is very much keen on two tourism attractions of Kerala, viz. beaches and ayurveda, which he is very avid to promote among his clients in Italy. And just because of this, Kerala to him is an ideal stopover after a tour.
On a personal note, Mr. Carlo would prefer Periyar wildlife sanctuary on any day in Kerala, and the reason is simple. Being in Periyar means amidst a wealth of nature, which is a refreshing experience, says Carlo.
Let's wish that Mr. Carlo have many more refreshing experiences in Kerala, and his liking for Kerala continues to benefit his fellow Italians to experience God's Own Country.
