Olga Kushov, all the way from Russia did not look like one who was on her fifth visit to Kerala. Her wide eyes, curiosity and voice brimming with excitement would easily give one the feeling that she was in God’s Own Country for the very first time.
Say this to her and she would just laugh and then go eloquent on the beauty of Kerala and how one could not but wonder at its vivid greenery and visual splendor.
“The widespread availability of mouthwatering delicious vegetarian food is the best part of Kerala,” she says.
Amazed by the ‘feel good’ climate of the State and the bewitching beauty of Kovalam where she stays, Olga swore that she would keep coming back to these shores over and over again.
“The people here in Kerala are so generous, kind and friendly that it feels like home every time I come back here,” a smiling Olga said.
When asked about the cultural experiences she had, she went on to explain the vibrancy in the art forms of the land, its splendor, all of which have left deep-rooted imprints on her mind. She also shared her experience of watching a Kathakali recital at a culture fest organized in the State, which she felt was quite amazing.
She describes how each time she thought of planning a holiday. She would think about choosing a different destination but every time she was drawn to this heavenly land.
To Olga, Kerala is not just another land. Rather, it is a place that has formed a deep connection with her soul, a land that keeps enticing her to return to the comfort of its soothing embrace.
