Situated on the banks of Payaswini River, the Chandragiri Fort in Kasaragod once marked the boundary of the erstwhile Tulunadu and Kolathunadu Kingdoms. Set up as part of bolstering the defence capabilities of his territory, the Fort is one among the chain of Forts built by Sivappa Naik of Bedanoor in the 16th century.
