A soulful rendezvous
"If I didn't live in London then I lived in Kerala" says Audrey Brindley a Global MICE Tourism Market consultant from UK. Her rapport with Kerala started several years ago. Kerala, in her words, has a lot to offer. The greenery, landscapes, beaches, Ayurveda, friendly and loving people… everything is here to make it a perfect destination for tourists, says Audrey.
Audrey Brindley has decades of experience in the field of travel and tourism. As a person who has followed global tourism scene for a long time, Audrey observes that Kerala is different in many ways compared to other destinations in the world. It has "lot to offer" feels Audrey. There is ample opportunity to develop new tourism business in Kerala. The land with its excellent geography and rich cultural heritage is also ideal for future business in the field of travel and tourism.
"I have seen many destinations in Kerala, the backwaters, hill stations, beaches... all these spots compel me to visit Kerala again and again. I have been to Bekal last month. Everything is nice and wonderful, fabulous beach, lovely hotels. Diversity is something that Kerala can really be proud of," observes Audrey. "In Kerala you turn to one corner then you find a totally different culture and different people. But despite their difference the hospitality and openness is something that is common to all of them," she adds.
"Kerala is an ideal place for shopping. The handicrafts, fascinating souvenir items, jewellery, apparels; everything looks enticing for a traveler. The shops are good and so are the shopkeepers. It is very easy to communicate with them. The Kerala food is also tempting. Seafood is my favourite," says Audrey.
"Surely I would recommend Kerala to all my clients, friends and families; because when you come to Kerala you lose 20 years from your age. It's refreshing and enlivening. In other words I would say Kerala is a completely stress-free-land."
