"This is not my first visit to Kerala. My camaraderie with this land started in 1999. But every time I come here this land is ready to offer me something new," says Peter Michael Geissler, executive vice-chairman of Discover India Society, a Frankfurt-based tour company. When asked to share his experience and opinions about God's Own Country this expert consultant who has been focusing on India became eloquent.

"Kerala is indeed a great destination. The nature and culture are its greatest wealth. I was often overwhelmed by the beaches, backwaters and hill stations of Kerala. Nature is the strongest part of Kerala," observes Geissler. As a visionary consultant Geissler feels that more initiatives should be taken to preserve this wealth of Kerala. "If you want to increase tourism you have to protect and sustain your natural wealth. People want nature. Our life and lifestyle is getting more hectic every day and the only thing in which we can find solace is nature," says Geissler.

"Considering these facts we can call Kerala as an ideal holiday destination where nature comes in her best attire, where we can get intimate with the best elements of nature. Ayurveda is an added boon to this wealth. This ancient health system helps people to stay with nature all the more closer," observes Geissler.

"Food of Kerala is thrilling. The cuisine of Kerala is very much different from the rest of India. It's more yummy and spicy. Personally I am very much fond of seafood. I love all kinds of seafood. If you are in this land of spices you shouldn't miss these mouthwatering dishes," says Geissler.

When asked about an unforgettable experience he had in Kerala, Geissler recollected those wonderful days he spent in an Ayurvedic resort near Kovalam. "The resort overlooked the comforting beach and I spent most of the time watching the all embracing waves. One evening I happened to see a beautiful procession of men and women going down the beach. It was an epiphanic spectacle for me. A visual which I would cherish my whole life," recalls Geissler.

"I would surely recommend Kerala to my friends and family and wouldn't miss any chance to visit this wonderful place any time," says Geissler cheerfully.
