Thrissur Tourism Circuit

Thrissur, the cultural capital of Kerala, with its cultural diversity and natural beauty, offers some most incredible Travel Circuits that are bound to enchant all kinds of travellers.

The District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC), Thrissur, offers six one-day tourism circuit packages that will take you on an enthralling journey through the exquisite landscapes and heritage of the district. 

Blue Circuit
Blue Circuit otherwise known as the Water Tourism starts at 7 am from Thrissur and reaches Vazhachal Waterfalls by 8.30 am. After spending an hour in Vazhachal, the trip moves on to Charpa Falls, and then to the famed Athirappally Falls. You can spend two hours watching this wonder! 

Green Circuit  
Also known as Backwater Tourism, this circuit lets you experience boating at Chimmony and Enamavu and a visit to Snehatheeram beach. In Enamavu you will get a chance to cruise through the peaceful backwaters of Kerala in a houseboat and have some delicious local delicacies. The boat will reach Snehatheeram at around 5.30 pm before sunset. 

Brown Circuit
This Dam Tourism Circuit is a journey through the picturesque dams in Thrissur district such as Chimmony, Peechi, Vazhani, and Poomala.  Tourists are brought back to Thrissur after they watch the sunset from the Vilangankunnu hills.  

Yellow Circuit
Cultural Tourism focuses on introducing the cultural attractions of the district to the travellers. The trip starts by 8 in the morning to Kerala Kalamandalam, the centre for learning Indian performing arts. After spending two hours there, you are driven to the Puppet Art Gallery by 11.30 am. From there you move to Shakthan Thampuran Museum. The afternoon schedule includes the Zoo Museum and the Ayurveda Museum

Orange Circuit
Muziris Heritage Tourism is a saga of the rich heritage and ancient history of Thrissur. The journey begins from Thrissur at 8 am and reaches Paravoor in Ernakulam district where a visit to the synagogue is arranged. Then a visit to Kottapurram Fort, Paliam Palace, Pattanam Excavation Centre and Museum, finally returning to Thrissur.   

Red Circuit 
The journey begins from Thrissur at 8.30 am. Vilangankunnu, Vazhani Dam, and Zoo and Museum are covered, ending the journey with a stunning sunset view at Snehatheeram beach.
