Located around 17 km from Tirur town, Padinjarekkara Beach in Malappuram district offers a stunning view of Bharathapuzha, Tirur Puzha and the Arabian Sea.
One of the best things to experience on the beach is the sunset. People from all walks of life throng the shores to witness the radiant sun setting against the horizon. The casuarina trees and the breezy atmosphere add more lustre to the whole experience. The long line of casuarina trees separates the beach from the river and provides an ideal setting to take a walk or rest among the shades.
The coast is also famous for bird watching, as migratory birds are frequently spotted here. We can also find an amenity centre, an amphitheatre, eco shops and vendors here.
Cruising through the waters is a try-to-do activity here. Water scooters, speed boats or idle cruises – pick whichever you fancy, and simply float out into the pristine aquatic behemoths and discover the unseen.
Ponnani Harbour is on the other side of the beach and there are ferry services between the two.
Kootayi Beach, Ponnani Beach, Moonangadi Beach and Biyyam Kayal Park, located nearby, are some of the new tourist places in the district.
