The Unhurried Charm of Chathurangapara

Cradled in the lush green hills of the Western Ghats in Kerala, Idukki district stands as a testament to Nature's grandeur and human perseverance. This land of undulating landscapes and serene beauty captivates the soul, offering a tapestry of experiences that blend culture, history, and natural splendour into a seamless narrative. This land is renowned for its breathtaking hills adorned with swathes of verdant greenery that seem to stretch endlessly. Chathurangapara View Point, located at a distance of around 18 kilometres from Idukki city limits, offers visitors panoramic views of these magical hills and valleys. Owing to high-speed winds, visitors should be extremely cautious when visiting the viewpoint. The winds here pick up speed and intensity in a matter of moments and therefore it is advisable to always maintain a safe distance from the edge of the cliff. While the viewpoint is open and accessible all through the day it is best to visit either around sunset or sunrise for the most ethereal and memorable experience of your life, as the sky transform into a canvas of fiery hues.
