Kattikkayam Waterfall - A Captivating Spot for Adventure Seekers
Perched in Melukavu, a small village in Kottayam, the Kattikkayam Waterfalls is a secluded haven beckoning adventure enthusiasts to its untamed beauty. Cascading in three distinct tiers, the water crashes against the rocks from a height of 50 feet, allowing spectators to witness a serene stream's transformation into a powerful waterfall.
Embark on a brief trek along a trail adorned with tall, swaying grass and meandering streams, and you will reach the base of the falls, where you can dive into its awe-inspiring splendour.
It is located about 3 km from the renowned Illikkal Kallu. This place is a gem for groups with a mix of interests – great for those who want to unwind, embark on hiking adventures, or indulge in swimming activities. Be cautious while walking across the slippery rocks, and stay alert to the unpredicted flow of water. Though the journey towards the falls may be challenging, it promises a rich reward in the form of awe-inspiring beauty.
