Aymanam - Get Closer to Nature

Responsible Tourism (RT) Mission has successfully brought to the limelight many lesser-known hamlets of Kerala that possess exquisite natural beauty, by making them a part of its Village Life Experience packages. Aymanam village in Kottayam district is ready to be the next great spot where you can experience the soul of Kerala.

Village Life Experience packages of RT will take you to the virtually untouched terrains of villages that are rich enough to grant fresh experiences on every visit.

The unique charm and cultural opulence of Aymanam have made it a must-see destination in God’s Own Country. Discover some of Kerala’s most sought-after heritage buildings, religious shrines, and vibrant arts forms here with RT.

Responsible Tourism Mission will help you experience the age-old history and culture of Kerala through a visit to Thekkedathu Mana in Kudamaloor. This historical edifice houses the sword and the palm leaf scripts of the Raja of Chembakasseri. Here, you can also make offerings to the idols installed in the Sarpa Kavu, the sacred Abode of Snake Gods.

The beautiful waterfront vistas of Vembanad Lake and the idyllic of Kerala village life in Aymanam are sure to bestow an experience that will be etched forever in your memory.

On your trip to Aymanam, you can watch the classical dance-drama Kathakali, the ritual art Kalamezhuthu, the oldest martial art in the world Kalaripayattu and the vibrant, indigenous dance Thiruvathirakali, organised by RT. Besides these, you can enjoy the intricate patterns of the mystical murals in Pandavam Sree Dharmasastha Temple, breathe in the divine atmosphere of the quaint St Mary’s Church in Kudamaloor and even retrace the sacred footsteps of St Alphonsa at her hallowed birthplace.

What are you waiting for?

Put on your traveller’s hat, dash to Aymanam, and gorge on all the riches this place has to offer!
