Konni – A Package of Experiences!

Have you ever experienced serenity and adventure on a single canvas?

The road to Adavi Eco Tourism situated in the green village of Konni in Pathanamthitta district awaits you! Explore the wild through the Konni Forest region and let your soul go far and beyond with the quiet call of nature.

With a 5-km stretch broadened by the Kallar River, Adavi welcomes you to experience nature at its best.  The Adavi Eco-tourism project part of the third phase of Konni Eco-tourism project is jointly launched by the departments of Forest and Tourism. The hauntingly beautiful Adavi is known for its coracle rafting or the bowl boat riding – the first of its kind in Kerala. Rowing through the emerald ripples lets you watch the riveting forest patch in its full glory. The lush green ambience is enhanced by the musical notes of birds.  The coracle offers long and short rides with the long ones being preferred by those who seek adventure.

Adavi also offers visitors options for Jeep Safari (Konni- Kattathi- Chelikkal and back to Konni), Bus Tours (Konni – Adavi - Gavi) & Tree Top Bamboo Huts. The waterfalls here is yet another added attraction that charms visitors.

One of the most prominent elephant training centres in God’s Own Country is situated in Konni near Adavi.  The giant wooden cages (Anakkoodu) used to house the elephants are also a main attraction of the place. So make sure you drop by to meet the gentle giants up close.

Konni is full of options to satisfy the traveller in you.  Situated just five km from Mundommoozhy on the proposed Achencoil-Chittar hill highway, Adavi is a perfect weekend gateway to refresh your mind and soul.

Pack your bags and start your journey to Konni where Happiness comes as a package!
