Naimeen Soup, a non vegetarian starter made of Neimeen or Seer Fish.
Ingredients
Seer Fish - 100 g
Fish bones - 50 g
Tomato - 2
Green chilli - 20 g
Curry Leaves - 1 sprig
Coconut oil - 20 ml
Fennel - 10 g
Garlic - 20 g
Onion - 30 g
Coriander leaves - 15 g
Ginger - 10 g
Lemon - 2
Method of Preparation
Make a fish stock with fish bones, crushed ginger and pepper corns and strain it in a muslin cloth. Cut fish into small cubes. Heat the oil in a sauce pan and add chopped garlic, onion, green chilli and saute well, along with cubes of fish for 5 minutes. Add the fish stock and allow to boil it for 15 minutes. Check the seasoning, add tomato and coriander leaves and serve hot.
