Ingredients
Oyster - 250 gm
Raw Banana - 1
Chilli powder - 2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Grated Coconut - 1 cup
Curry leaves
Coconut oil - 3 tsp
Pepper powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Green chilli (chopped) - 3
Garlic - 5 cloves
Ginger paste - 1/4 tsp
Onion sliced - 1 medium sized
Salt
Method of Preparation
Heat a pan and add grated coconut. Add cumin seeds, curry leaves and mix well. Saute till the coconut mixture turns brown, and remove it from flame. Heat another pan. Add cleaned oyster, chopped raw banana, chilli powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, green chillies, onions, ginger paste and salt. Add water and mix the ingredients well. Cover the pan now and cook on low flame. When the mixture is half cooked, add some crushed garlic. Cover it and cook some more time. Add pepper powder if required. Add the browned coconut after the oysters and bananas are well cooked. Mix well and heat it for a while. Delicious Oyster ethakka thoran is ready.
