The compound, with its old trees and bushes and a well-manicured lawn, is soothingly green. All around the periphery is a two-metre wide walkway with lamp posts along its length for ample light at night. There are also three ponds with kulappuramalikas (adjacent shelters) that greatly add to the charming atmosphere.
