Gundu Island
Gundu Island, an island of about five acres, is the smallest in the Kochi region. It was in 1967 that the island was declared as part of Kochi.
The island, accessible only by boat from Vypeen, is known for its idyllic ambience. The cool breeze and the calm atmosphere of the island attract a lot of visitors. The only building on the island belongs to a privately owned coir factory that produces ropes and carpets with handmade looms.
