Anandashram

For a tranquil spiritual experience, head to the 'Anandashram', a retreat founded by Swami Ramdas and Mother Krishnbai in order to spread the message of universal love and service to humanity. Located at Kanhangad in Kasaragod district, this renowned ashram was built in 1931. It is situated on the side of the Manjampally hill, which stands at a height of 250 mts above sea level. 

The very ambience and serene setting of the surroundings is ideal for meditation and can effortlessly soothe one's senses. 

A Bhajan Hall (prayer hall), a large book stall, a goshala (cow-shed), a bhojan shala (canteen) that offers a strictly vegetarian menu, and an organic vegetable garden are the other features of the ashram.
