Muzhappilangad Beach

This picture-perfect beach is located at a distance of eight kilometres from Thalassery.

The black rocks, naturally scattered across the shore, make the beach ideal for swimming as they act as a barrier to counter deep currents. There is also a children's park nearby.

Another peculiarity is that it is Kerala's only drive-in beach.  One can drive along its entire length of five kilometers, and take delight in watching the gently crashing waves and the swaying coconut palms.

The place is also great for water-based adventure sports. There is an adventure club here that provides facilities for various sports.
