| The first ever eco-tourism project in India. It is 72 kms from Thiruvananthapuram in the adjacent Kollam district. The Thenmala eco-tourism project is adjacent to the Shenduruney wild life sanctuary in the foot hills of the western ghats. At the project which offers fun adventure and leisure, trained personnel guide the tourists to enjoy nature’s wonders while not destroying them. There are three zones – the culture zone, the leisure zone and the adventure zone. Each zone provides a taste of the natural specialities of the area with correctly placed sign boards and information boards. |
