| This is situated on the way from Kollam to Alappuzha. While other temples have a definite structure and a sanctum sanctorum for people to walk around and worship, the Ochira temple has no structure or idol to worship. Here the concept of worship is the Parabrahmam or the universal consciousness which has no form whatsoever. The offering in the temple is in the form of huge bulls which are touched and prayed to by devotees after praying a sum to the owner. Another ritual is the Ochira kali, a kind of war dance. |
