Teak is a versatile tree, cultivated much on the slopes of the Western Ghats. The teak museum located at Nilambur in the Malappuram district will give any teak enthusiast the A to Z of teak trees – the aesthetic, historical and scientific aspects of this tree. Different sizes of teak wood, the largest, oldest and longest are displayed. There is also a collection of some 300 butterflies, moths and insects found in teak plantations. |
