The lush, green little township of Malampuzha, on the foothills of the Western Ghats, is known for its trekking trails and large irrigation dam. Around the reservoir are beautiful gardens and amusement parks. Boating facilities are available on the lake. Rock garden, a fish-shaped aquarium, a snake park, a ropeway, and a gigantic sculture of yakshi (mythological enchantress).
