Named after the ancient sage Agasthya, this spectacular peak rising to a heady 1890 metres, is the second highest peak in Kerala. The wildlife, rare and endangered species of medicinal plants, different types of orchids are the hallmarks of the Agasthyakoodam forests. The thickly forested slopes also offer trekking trails. December-February season is ideal for trekking.
