The breeding cycle of different plants and animals always vary. It depends on the micro climatic conditions of the region. Everyone is after the flowering of Kurinji plants. I have extensively covered the landscape even after the flowering season. Usually the flowering starts at the bottom of the hill. So the lower areas where we have the kurinji plants will bloom first, then gradually the flowering moves to higher areas. That’s why the botanists say a time period from June to October. The flowering area includes different parts of the high range which includes Munnar, Devikulam, Mattupetty upto Vattavada, Kambakkallu and beyond it goes to Tamil Nadu to Kodaikanal area.
