KERALA TOURISM NEWSLETTER
National Geographic Traveler features Kerala
The National Geographic Traveler, which once made Kerala the cynosure of all eyes in the world travel circuit by describing it as one of the 50 destinations of a life time, has again given pride of place to Kerala in the April issue of the magazine. The article on Kerala titled, ?State of Enlightenment? showers high praise on the State, her people, her natural beauty, her culture and recommends it as a hot spot for tourists around the world. Talking of a kettuvallam ride, fast becoming a must on most Kerala tour itineraries, the author says, ? It is astonishingly romantic to watch the sunset from one kettuvallam among several, while the three boatmen hang lanterns and a pearly glow fades behind the scrim of palms? Waking at dawn, we find ourselves surrounded by hundreds of fishermens? skiffs on immense Vembanad Lake. Its like time travel into a quiet morning of another century.?
