Construction of Solid Waste Treatment Plant in Varkala
The Kerala Tourism has decided to
construct a Solid Waste Treatment Plant at Nadayara, Varkala, the coastal town
of Thiruvananthapuram.
The construction of the Solid Waste Treatment
Plant in Nadayara would help to eliminate the spread of diseases, in thickly
populated areas, caused due to the accumulation of garbage and other waste
materials. The construction work would be implemented through Varkala
Municipality at an estimated cost of Rs.5 million.
