A colossal sculpture of Lord Parasurama would soon come up in Kovalam, Thiruvananthapuram. The construction of a 50-foot-high concrete sculpture of Lord Parasurama at Kovalam is one of the major highlights among the tourism projects that are to be implemented by Kerala Tourism in the State Capital in the current financial year.

The sculpture would be built on a pedestal 30 feet long and 20 feet wide in a plot of land overlooking the sea on the premises of the Guest House at Kovalam.

The details of the project were revealed by the Minister for Tourism, Mr.P.Sankaran at a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram. The Secretary for Tourism, Mr.T.Balakrishnan and Tourism Director, Mr.Alkesh Kumar Sharma were also present at the news conference
