?Kerala: A Poem in Green and Gold? released
Mr.
Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, Minister for Tourism, released "Kerala: A Poem in
Green and Gold", written by Mr. K. Jayakumar , poet, lyricist and senior
civil servant, by handing over the copy to Mr. Cherian Philip, Chairman, KTDC.
The 250 page book, published jointly by Kerala Tourism and Invis Infotech is
a study into the rich social, cultural and political heritage of Kerala and
provides the reader with an insight into the development of the state into an
important tourist destination well described as "God's Own Country".
The
Minister described the effort as a praiseworthy one since, he said, it is one
of the best available study books on Kerala. It is useful for both the natives
as well as the travellers. Mr. Cherian Philip also had high opinions about the
book, and he said that it is a must read for all those who want to know about
Kerala in all its true essence. The felicitations were given by Ms. J. Lalithambika,
Mr. T. Balakrishnan IAS and Mr. E.M. Najeeb.
