Mascot Hotel, a five star venture by Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) has been raised to an exclusive heritage business hotel with Mr. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, Minister for Tourism, reopening the heritage block of the hotel. The heritage block of this 90-year old hotel is being renovated by retaining the traditional ambience and architecture style of the building.
With the renovation, Mascot Hotel will have the following facilities: 5 suites, 14 heritage rooms, 36 executive rooms and 11 deluxe rooms, five conference halls, three restaurants, bar, swimming pool, health club, Ayurveda centre, business centre, travel desk, beauty shop, book shop and culture shop. Sayahna, a garden café has also been opened.
While delivering the welcome address, Mr. Cheriyan Philip, Chairman,
KTDC, has said that the corporation is keen to transform its existing
hotels into profit-making centres. Mr. M. Sivasankar, Director, Kerala
Tourism and Mr. K. G. Mohanlal, MD, KTDC, also spoke on the occasion.
