KERALA TOURISM NEWSLETTER
Now, students have a role in Kerala Tourism
Higher secondary students of Kerala will now be made part of the sustainable tourism development of the state, with Kerala Tourism launching a programme ?Ente Nadu, Ente Swapnam? (My Land, My Dream) in association with the Education and Local Administration Departments. As per the programme, the students will be encouraged to prepare projects on tourism and undertake research works on the same.
After creating such a ?project bank?, the local bodies can implement the viable tourism projects. The support of the Nature Club, Tourism Club, National Service Scheme and National Cadet Corps will be sought for this purpose. The best three projects in the state will be awarded cash prizes.
The programme is inspired by the earlier launching of two projects, ?My Village, Tourism Friendly Village? and ?Unseen Kerala?, said Dr. Venu, V., Secretary, Kerala Tourism. Any innovative programme aimed at tourism development is welcome, he informed.
