Days go brighter for Thekkady
The
tourist arrivals to Thekkady, the enchanting hill destination of Kerala, have
seen a tremendous increase even as the usual season is yet to start. The attractions
of Thekkady, including sightseeing and elephant safari, attract so many domestic
as well as international travellers. However, according to reports, it is the
Boat Rides through the pristine beauty of Periyar Lake that the tourists eagerly
look forward to. Already there are eight boats, five run by Kerala Tourism Development
Corporation and the other three owned by the Forest Department. The officials
have informed that more boats are under construction to cater to the increasing
demand of the travellers.
