On the wake of the global economic crisis, Kerala Tourism needs to work with
a new vision, informed Mr. Cheriyan Philip, Chairman, Kerala Tourism Development
Corporation (KTDC). If the number of western tourists who visit the state
decreases, attention will be diverted to new nations, he said. He also informed
that a large number of tourists will be visiting Kerala this year itself with
the intensive campaigns of the corporation. KTDC is participating in the Singapore
Travel Mart and the road shows at Sidney and Melbourne in Australia. Due attention
is paid towards attracting more travellers from Arabian countries, China,
Australia and Philippines, he said.
