Kerala Tourism participates in Beijing International Tourism Expo
Held from June 18 to 20 the Beijing International Tourism Expo was another opportunity for Kerala Tourism to explore the Chinese travel market. Participating in the expo, the Kerala Tourism contingent included leading names in the tourism sector of Kerala. Somatheeram Ayurvedic Beach Resort, Travancore Heritage, Thomas Group Hotels and Resorts, Kerala Tourism Magazine, Mir Resorts, Kadavu Resort and Great India Tour Company were the establishments that formed part of the twelve-member Kerala Tourism contingent.
The Kerala pavilion at the expo was visited by the Indian ambassador to China, Ms. Nirupama Rao, who said that in the coming year Kerala can expect an increase in the number of visitors from China.
The expo gave Kerala Tourism the required exposure to have close interactions and business understandings with Chinese tour operators. Equally satisfying was the manner in which the Kerala team showcased the potential of tourism in Kerala to those who visited the pavilion.
