The first week of August saw the launch of KTDC’s new-look website – www.ktdc.com with a host of innovative and user-friendly features. The new website has been developed so as to provide equal attention to all of KTDC properties numbering around 70. Apart from a new look corporate website, all premium properties of KTDC have been provided dedicated websites owing to their potential in adding brand value to KTDC.
The website besides its outstanding aesthetics and easy navigation features has several IT and multimedia backed features. Online reservation of rooms is one of the main attractions of the new website and so is the facility for viewing the different settings of a property in virtual environment.
Inaugurating the new website of KTDC at a function held in the Mascot Hotel in Thiruvananthapuram recently, the Minister for Tourism, Mr. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that the new initiatives of KTDC would receive the wholehearted support of the government. The new website itself has been conceived and implemented so that more travelers are exposed to the wide range of properties coming under KTDC.
Expressing his views, Mr. Cheriyan Philip, Chairman, KTDC said that the properties of KTDC are now better positioned to attract travelers from all parts of the world. The new website in the coming days would become KTDC’s main platform for promotional campaigns and the marketing efforts of KTDC would also get channeled through the website, he said.
Secretary for Tourism, Dr. Venu V., who was present during the inauguration of the website said that the new website is in tune with the KTDC’s philosophy that “KTDC properties are itself destinations."
