Ponmudi, a popular hill station, not far away from the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram would soon get an added attraction in the form of a premium resort from Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) named Golden Peak.
The hill station is set amidst rolling hills and flanked by tea estates, grasslands and is also a place rich in bird life and other forms of wildlife. It has a deer park and the region is marked by waterfalls and rivulets. Kallar, a river valley destination is close by. It is conveniently located from the city of Thiruvananthapuram and the locals as well as visitors favour Ponmudi due to its proximity and the pleasant ambience.
With the premium property of KTDC all set to open in September this year, which is just a month away from the start of the tourist season in Kerala, the hill station can expect an increase in the arrival of tourists this season itself.
